Here at Platts, a sizeable percentage of our 58-strong workforce are made up of our hard-working Transport Team. With 20 HGV drivers at present, we’re recruiting a further two due to business growth, and will be increasing our fleet this September.
If you’re a driver, you’ll know that not all driving jobs are the same. So what does driving for Platts look like?
With a mixture of jobs- collecting raw materials from suppliers, and delivering finished goods to our customers- mainly commercial farms- the role can be diverse. Platts supply throughout the UK and Ireland – all the way from the Orkney Isles, to Plymouth, Cork to Colchester – so our team are well versed in the UK and Irish roads- with the help of the modern TomTom of course!
We asked our team to share a bit about an average week as a Platts driver… here’s what we got!
Early morning start to the week from Platts HQ- Llay, Wrexham.
