Our completely dust-free horse bedding products are designed to directly combat the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in horses. Horses with COPD can find it difficult to clear their lungs of air before taking in a breath, causing discomfort and low energy.

The cause of COPD is strongly linked to chronic respiratory infections, which tend to begin when irritants such as dust find their way into the small airways of the lungs.

While horses diagnosed with COPD don’t fully recover from the disease, the illness can still be successfully managed. Respiratory infections can be prevented by reducing the horses’ exposure to dust, which is what makes Platts’ dust-free, hypoallergenic equine bedding products so beneficial to your animals’ wellbeing.

Small, natural flakes make Platts Premium Shavings an extra absorbent bedding material, to keep your stable clean, dry and warm. Ideal for using on matted or concrete flooring, PPS provide a soft, cushioned bed for your horse or pony.

CONVENIENT STORAGE

PPS is packaged using Platts’ in-house packaging facilities, designed specifically to offer practical and convenient storage- like all of our products. Our shavings are wrapped in compressed 120 litre polythene bales and includes a weatherproof hood for outdoor storage, to enable better use of space and more freedom for you.
